Incubator

The Baxu Maam Incubator is a talent and project accelerator for emerging producers in West Africa.

Give an impulse to our creative
eco-systems

Baxu Maam is an innovative proposition amongst established and emerging development platforms in the African film industry. We provide tailored support over the course of a year to develop either an original concept or pre-existing intellectual property (IP) for its adaptation into an audiovisual format (film or series).

How does the incubator work?

  • Intensive Digital Workshop

10 days combining individual consultations with industry experts (producers, broadcasters, screenwriters, etc.) and a series of online conferences. At the end of the online workshop, an initial assessment is made of the project's development needs by the incubator’s consultancy team, and a roadmap is established in consultation with the producers.

    Late February 2026

  • Immersive In-Person Workshop

A 7-day project development and packaging session, guided by two mentors. Producers explore certain key points of their roadmaps in a collaborative setting.

    March 2026

  • Mentoring and Personalized Consultations

For several months, producers receive support from creative, legal, marketing, and other experts to strengthen the strategy and development process of their project.

    April–December 2026

  • International Market Access & Mobility

Post-program follow-up focuses on developing a mobility strategy and positioning producers in the international market. The incubator will provide financial support for this mobility.

The program will select 6 participants.
